Contract AP World History Teacher - Curriculum Writer

UWorld is looking for experienced AP social Studies educators with strong experience in AP World History to develop web-based educational materials. We seek individuals with an unending passion for education who strive to develop exceptional products that contribute to easier and stress-free AP test preparation.

This part-time opportunity will allow teachers to partner with some of the brightest minds in education and become a part of UWorld’s success story. Job Responsibilities:

Reports to the Director of College Prep Content. Create instructional materials to help teachers and students in AP college prep programs.

New content production:

  • Write AP style questions with comprehensive explanations
  • Revise and provide constructive feedback on content written by other authors
  • Generate classroom activities that reflect existing AP blueprint standards
  • Validate accuracy and relevance of content generated with other team members
  • Work with other content experts to identify topics for new product development
  • Assist other content team members during peak periods of new content production to ensure that all deadlines are met

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Undergraduate/Graduate GPA of 3.6 or higher

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of the AP World History CED
  • AP World History teaching experience required (5yrs+)
  • AP Reader, AP Table Leader, and AP Consultant experience highly preferred

  • Proficient in MS Office/working knowledge of IT
  • Proven ability to write high-quality passages, questions, and explanations
