Job Description

Targeted Annual Pay Range: Minimum of $100,000.00 to a maximum of $125,000.00

POSITION PURPOSE: The Electrical Project Engineer will be a technical support of major projects in the Development Engineering/CAPEX Delivery group of Veolia Sustainable Industries and Buildings (SIB) Technical & Performance (T&P) team and responsible for providing electrical engineering design and consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all Veolia customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Directly reporting to Sr. Project Manager Development Engineering/CAPEX Delivery
  2. Support the sale of all SIB services
  3. Provide major project execution for Development Engineering/CAPEX Delivery team
  4. Support technical requirements of SIB projects
  5. Understand and be able to design HV & MV electrical single line diagrams
  6. Complete short circuit analyses
  7. Be able to size, select and procure electrical equipment
  8. Building new and existing customer relationships as key team member
  9. Support of processes to streamline standard operations
  10. Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional initiatives
  11. Supporting project management requests as required by the Development Engineering/CAPEX Delivery
  12. Provide professional project management services
  13. Directly lead field contractors in the execution of Veolia SIB initiatives. 
  14. Support all purchasing, contracting, project timeline, and execution management for CAPEX Delivery field technical initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

  • BS required preferably in Electrical Engineering. 
  • 5+ years of energy, utility, or engineering experience is required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy
  • Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills
  • Great PC and Microsoft Office skills, AutoCad skills preferred. 
  • Ability to navigate through a variety of computer applications.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
