Job Description

The Senior Director, CMS Pricing will be a key member of the Global pricing team, overseeing key strategic initiatives and priorities for Commercial and Money Movement Solutions Business (CMS). This is a senior leadership role that will involve frequent collaboration with global and regional Interchange & Pricing teams as well as key cross functional partners in Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, Risk and Client Services. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker that is able to take a holistic approach to Visa’s pricing strategies and execute the implementation of key strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates clear strategic priorities for the business and aligns resources accordingly. Ensures that decisions are made in a timely manner without overanalyzing data, holds others accountable for meeting goals.
  • Strategy and best practices - create strategic alignment and best practices across regional teams, develop frameworks that regional teams can use to roll out new pricing programs and ensure consistency in approach, provide consultation and support to regional teams on new initiatives and oversee key global projects to drive decisions in a timely manner
  • Develop clear and concise executive level communications. Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way.
  • Leadership support - mentor and coach junior team members, assist in talent management and organization design, develop curriculum and materials for training and development of CMS pricing team

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Flexible, intellectually curious, creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty
  • Ability to lead and influence decisions of others, including CMS executive team and other partners
  • Strong management skills with experience managing and building a high performing team, including recruiting and retaining talent, and developing team members
  • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Strong interpersonal skills with presence and the ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior and executive management, clients, peers, and team members
  • Ability to work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior and executive management, while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Relevant university degree in finance, economics or related disciplines
  • Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 188,400.00 to 273,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
