  • Worksite Location: WSU Tech South Campus

Overview / Job Summary:

The Faculty, Automotive Services is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation presentation and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities for WSU Tech.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Creates and/or uploads an appropriate course syllabus for each course to the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements
  • Maintains accurate and complete scholastic records including course messaging in the LMS, grades, census rosters and attendance records
  • Submits all scholastic records by the established due date
  • Evaluates students to measure their progress toward the achievement of course outcomes and/or competencies
  • Utilizes the appropriate college resources (Navigate, grade center, course messaging etc.) to provide timely feedback to students regarding individual progress in each course
  • Posts and maintains office hours for student consultation (combined with classroom instruction, minimum 35 contact hours per week on campus or location authorized by the Dean)

Education:

  • High school diploma or other equivalent; required
  • Associate or higher level degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic mastery of applicable technical certification preferred
  • Two years of instructional teaching or training experience preferred
  • ASE Certification in at least one of the subject matter areas below, required. (Obtained within 1 year from hire if experience indicated but no certification acquired yet.)

    • A3 – Manual Drive Train & Axles
    • A4 – Suspension & Steering
    • A5 – Brakes
    • A6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems

    • G1- Maintenance and Light Repair
    • F1- Alternative Fuel
