Acquisition & Ecommerce Senior Lead

Growth Guru: You’re a strategic leader in digital marketing with a proven track record of scaling acquisition and eCommerce performance. You’ve led teams, developed high-impact strategies, and optimized customer journeys that convert at every stage, from first click to final purchase. Fluent in the full funnel, you know how to turn data-driven insights into skyrocketing sales while mentoring and guiding teams to execute at the highest level. If that sounds like you, here’s your next bit opportunity:

AlgaeCal is searching for a top-tier Acquisition & Ecommerce Senior Lead to join our team and propel our revenue growth to new heights.

Small print here ⇒ We’re an eCommerce company. So, we want you to have eCommerce experience. Lots of it. So if you don’t love digital marketing the way Trump loves tariffs, you probably shouldn’t read any further.

Still here? Okay then…

This job will give you ALL the feels:

At AlgaeCal, we’re driven by a single idea. To end the fear of bone loss. In the United States, an estimated 54 million people have low bone density.

The good news? AlgaeCal has the world’s only clinically-backed natural solution to this problem. We give hope to everyone worried about bone loss. If that excites you, you’ll find no better place to continue your career than at AlgaeCal.

This job might be for you if you’ve got…

  • 5+ years of leadership experience driving revenue via Performance Digital Media in an eCommerce environment. You’ve led teams, provided direction, and ensured continuous improvement in conversion rates, CPAs, ROAS, optimized design, and basket building. Under your expert guidance, teams have tested, tweaked, and fine-tuned thousands of pages to turn clicks into conversions.
  • A Yoda-like ability to make strategic, data-driven decisions. When we look at your resume, we’ll see proven experience in capturing target audiences and crafting cross-channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and inspire both leads and customers to make a purchase.
  • Strategy that converts like a tent revival. Show us how you’ve increased the conversion rates of landing pages, websites, and shopping carts. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it - you’ll need at least 5 years of leadership experience in digital marketing, to succeed in this role.
  • A brain the size of a small planet! In this role, you’ll need to think imaginatively and act strategically to drive sales.
  • A results-driven approach to digital media spend. You’ve overseen budgets, worked closely with Paid Media teams, and know how to allocate resources for maximum efficiency and ROI.
  • A track record of leadership and mentorship. You’ve trained junior marketers, led cross-functional teams, and helped others grow into their roles.
  • From top-of-the-funnel awareness to the decisive conversion point, you intricately understand how to position content that smoothly guides our audience down the sales funnel, turning curious visitors into loyal customers.
  • Experience in full-funnel marketing. You understand that paid social, paid search, paid display, paid video, affiliates/influencers, and direct mail don’t work in silos. You know how to integrate these channels into a seamless customer journey that maximizes ROAS.
  • A thick portfolio that demonstrates your mastery of all-things eCommerce. Sorry, but if you have to Google what a ‘heatmap’ is; or don’t know how to run an ‘A/B Test’, then this isn’t the job for you.
  • A detective’s eye for revenue leakage. Coupon abuse, friction in the checkout process, poorly timed popups—you can spot the problems and fix them before they drain sales.
  • An encyclopedic knowledge of today’s Adtech nuances, remarketing strategies, attribution, martech, and the digital landscape in the U.S.
  • A solid understanding of UI/UX. This isn’t essential, but it’s a definite plus. (And yes, we might swoon if you have it.)

Now, time to be honest: is this really you? If you’re nodding your head and feeling that flutter of excitement, then we can’t wait to meet you.

Other Qualities You’ll Need

At AlgaeCal we’re going to insist that you have these 3 qualities:

  • You’re humble--you put the team and others’ needs ahead of your own
  • You’re hungry to learn more
  • You’re people smart--in the sense that you’re a great teammate

The truth is, if you don’t have these qualities you won’t last long at AlgaeCal. So if you’re missing one of them, be honest. Save yourself a lot of headaches and skip to a job posting that is a better fit for you.

What Will You Earn?

We believe in rewarding top talent. So let’s talk about salary once we’ve had the chance to get to know you better. Rest assured, we’re generous and offer above-market pay for the right person. If you bring the skills and experience, we’ll make sure the compensation reflects that.

You’ll also enjoy the following benefits:

  • A generous healthcare package
  • Monthly team events and activities
  • Flexible Stat Holidays with the option to bank days for later use
  • Weekly team lunches
  • Casual dress code
  • Incredible dog friendly, Yaletown office one block from SkyTrain
  • Remote working is okay with us too.

And above all, you’ll join a team that you’ll never want to leave. Culture is everything to us. Yes, we work extremely hard to change as many people’s lives as possible. But we know how to have fun and reward ourselves too.
