Video Editor with Motion Skills

Our large financial client is seeking to build a bench of talented video editors to join thieir team for upcoming freelance projects. We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Video Editor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to craft engaging narratives across various formats, from short-form social media clips to long-form storytelling pieces. This role involves working with a mix of stock footage and original content, requiring creativity and technical expertise to produce cohesive and impactful videos. The Video Editor will work closely with our creative team to align projects with approved storylines and deliver polished final products.Key Responsibilities:Short-Form and Long-Form Editing:Edit short-form videos (:06) for social media platforms and long-form pieces (2:00+) for diverse storytelling needs.Ensure each video is compelling, engaging, and aligns with the project’s objectives.Found Footage Integration:Seamlessly integrate stock footage with original production content to create unified and visually appealing stories.Source and select appropriate shots from stock footage libraries to enhance the narrative.Versatile Storytelling:Edit a wide range of video formats, including sit-down interviews, scripted narratives, case studies, and sizzle reels.Adapt to different storytelling styles and formats to meet project requirements.Offline Editorial Work:Efficiently assemble rough cuts for internal review and revisions, demonstrating strong offline editorial capabilities.Collaborate with the team to refine edits based on feedback.Online Editorial and Finishing:For mid-senior level candidates, perform online editorial tasks, including audio mixing and color grading of live-action footage, to deliver polished final products.Creative Collaboration:Work closely with the creative team to develop and refine storylines and narratives based on approved creative briefs.Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the storytelling process.Nice-to-Have Capabilities:Motion Graphics and Animation:Ability to create and incorporate motion graphics and animations to enhance video projects.Sound Design:Experience in sound design to improve the audio quality and overall impact of video content.Qualifications:Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing both short-form and long-form projects.Proficiency in using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.Strong ability to integrate and work with stock footage and original content.Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.Experience in offline editorial work and familiarity with online editorial processes, including audio mixing and color grading.Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively with a creative team.Knowledge of motion graphics and sound design is a plus.These projects will likely ramp up at in Q1 with paid training starting as soon as the right candidate is found.“The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $60 an hour.
