As a HR Data Analyst, this hands-on role will drive HR data discovery and collection, data security, data cataloging, data transformation, data analysis, data visualization, data story telling, and reporting in support of the organization’s overall HR Data & Reporting objectives.


What You’ll Do
  • Partner with HR Leadership to share relevant HR data for teams to improve their productivity and metrics.
  • Perform analysis of complex and voluminous workforce data from different varieties of sources such as Workday, Snowflake, Lever (ATS), etc., and clean/model data within Tableau Cloud and Tableau Builder.
  • Analyze and mine data from a variety of sources to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points.
  • Identify new sources of data and methods to improve/automate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Perform queries and interpret business data requests to create efficient queries using tools for complex data mining and visualization.
  • Enhance HR data reporting/dashboards and analytics capabilities by leveraging new tools and technologies within Tableau and Workday.
  • Improve the quality of data and usability by driving an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.
  • Work collaboratively with appropriate Technology teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate more than just numbers and trends, must be able to tell a story.
  • Worked on several calculated fields like extract single instance, extract multi instance, Arithmetic Calculation, Formatting Date Fields, Look Up Related Value, Evaluate Expression, True or False conditions, etc.
  • Good knowledge on integrations including web services, Amazon S3, Workday architecture, and business process frameworks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel data input, manipulation, and various functions such as vlookup, hlookup, PivotTable extraction.
  • Analyze, design, and build new custom reports/dashboards as required using standard Workday reporting functionality (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, EIBs, BIRT, Discovery Boards).
  • Perform complex auditing duties to ensure data integrity within reports and calculated fields.
  • Document report requirements, specifications, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau and Snowflake (or any cloud-based relational database).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in HR sensitive/confidential data analysis and reporting with the ability to identify patterns and trends in large data sets.
  • Workday & PowerBI experience is preferred but not required.
  • It is not required, but it is preferred if the candidate can provide a portfolio of dashboards using fake or public data within Tableau Public.
  • Knowledgeable in data integration and data governance practices, and familiarity with relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Strong agile project management and technical skills including familiarity with the end-to-end lifecycle of a project.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and value creation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative while also working collaboratively with others in a team environment.

$63,000 - $89,000 a year
The base salary range for this position is $63,000 - $89,000, plus bonus and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training.
