This position focuses on supporting the Digital Fluency and Innovation initiative. Responsibilities include developing and managing student outreach programs, assisting with district-wide resource navigation, providing registration support, and fostering student persistence and retention within the Digital Fluency microcredential program. Additional duties may be assigned to enhance student success as needed. Description of Duties and Tasks
Supports strategic student program initiatives and projects designed to promote student success district-wide with Digital Fluency and Innovation.
Makes recommendations regarding placement into the Digital Fluency and Innovation (DFI) microcredentials, advises students regarding registration, explains microcertificates, admissions, and registration procedures, and provides other enrollment requirements.
Serves as first contact with students, district, and community partners with Digital Fluency and Innovation. Meets and greets students, provides information about programs and events and promotes and assists student involvement.
Refers students to appropriate resources (i.e., digital navigator, advising, counseling, Student Life, Library Services, etc.).
Assists with student outreach and engagement efforts as assigned. Contacts students by phone, text, and email to support outreach and retention efforts. Tracks and maintains student contact logs.
Participates and schedules social media for Digital Fluency and Innovation.
Participates in district-wide and campus events supporting student enrollment, registration, and college resource awareness.
Creates, coordinates, and delivers tabling events, workshops, and presentations to inform students about Digital Fluency and Innovation, ACC student resources, and services for student success.
Maintains contact with assigned students via email and phone to foster engagement and support, promoting their academic success and overall progress..
Distribute marketing materials as needed.
Oversees the data tracking, reporting, organizing, and reporting of data.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other Austin Community College (ACC) departments, faculty, staff, students, visitors, and campus groups.
Updates and maintains appropriate records, databases, and follow-up systems for prospective, current, and former students.
Position may require working remotely, in a virtual environment, or at a campus-based location.
Travel within the ACC serving district as needed for meetings, events, training, and campus coverage.
