At BetterUp, data is the foundation of how we unlock human potential. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to help shape the future of our Coach and Network Analytics, using Generative AI and advanced analytics to drive innovation. In this role, you will play a critical part in forecasting supply and demand, optimizing our Coach Tooling, and ensuring our network operates seamlessly.

As a key analytics partner to Network Operations and the Coach Platform squad, you’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop measurement strategies, build intuitive reporting, and surface insights that drive business decisions. You’ll also apply cutting-edge AI techniques, including text and sentiment analysis, LLM-powered insights, and automation, to drive improvements to the coach experience and customer outcomes..

What you’ll do:

  • Work with our Network Operations and Coach Platform squad to develop the measurement strategy, data, and visualizations to forecast network supply and demand, and measure the health of our coach matching algorithms

  • Partner closely with engineering and product, providing guidance on instrumentation design for new features and creating new datasets that delight our business users and help optimize our Coach Experience and Tooling. 

  • Own the Coach and Network-related Explores and dashboards in Looker, ensuring the continued accuracy of the data and building new dimensions/measures as they are needed.

  • Partner with the NetOps team to identify internal KPIs, build standardized reporting to monitor NetOps ecosystem health, and contribute to business reviews. 

  • Conduct data deep dives to better understand drivers of business performance and proactively identify new areas of opportunity and risk. Present results and recommendations to cross-functional partners and the Executive Team.

  • Evangelize the strategic use of analytics, educating business partners on how to self serve and interpret data, and working with them to translate insights into action.

  • Play an integral role in helping define the analytics function at BetterUp.

  • Report to the Director of Product Analytics 

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 5+ years of experience building custom reporting, insights, and analytics products; experience with Customer Analytics Platforms, Operations / Optimization,  preferred

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Looker/Tableau, and Amplitude (Python / R a plus)

  • Experience working with text / unstructured data, sentiment / theme analysis, and Generative AI and LLM-powered applications 

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex results into clear strategic recommendations

  • A self-starter that can jump right in and quickly add value 

  • A demonstrated ability to think like an owner and make effective prioritization decisions in a dynamic environment

  • A strong desire to be a builder of something new

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000– $223,000.

If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is: 
$149,000 – $233,000: New York City
$130,000 – $194,000: Albany, Buffalo, Nassau, Newburgh, Rochester, Syracuse
