Email Marketing Specialist

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a creative and data-driven Email Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing engaging email campaigns that drive customer engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in email marketing tools, and comfortable handling repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute email marketing strategies and campaigns to increase customer engagement and retention.
  • Create and manage email marketing calendars, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery.
  • Design, code, and test responsive email templates and optimize them for deliverability and user experience.
  • Segment email lists based on user data and behaviour to personalise and target email campaigns effectively.
  • Monitor email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates, and make data-driven optimizations.
  • Conduct A/B testing and analyse campaign results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, content, and client service to align email marketing efforts with overall marketing strategies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in email marketing and apply them to enhance campaign effectiveness.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related field. 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist, preferably in the financial industry;
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, SendGrid, Campaign Monitor) and marketing
    automation tools;
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS for email template design and coding;
  • Familiarity with email deliverability best practices, spam regulations and email authentication protocols
    (DKIM, SPF, DMARC);
  • Experience with email segmentation, personalization and automation workflows;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, perform A/B testing and make data-driven decisions;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
  • Understanding of the financial markets is a plus;
