Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Starting pay is $21.50 per hour


Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday (weekends based on business need)

The Bender is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly/FL/CT windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands

 

  • Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units
  • Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problem-solving activities to resolve issues of concern
  • Must be able to cut profiles
  • Accurate use of tape measure
  • Understand all options applicable to each unit
  • Must be able to work with hot gylcerine
  • Prioritizes repairs
  • Able to train others
  • Able to fill profiles with foam

Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the entire shift
  • Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex
  • Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Convert fractions to decimals
  • Able to read schematics, drawings, and diagrams
  • Capable of using computerized equipment
  • Operate the foam filling machine
  • Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
  • 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
