About This Role:
As the Senior Manager of Data Center Engineering, you will oversee and drive operational excellence across Crusoe’s AI-driven data centers. This role is a blend of strategic leadership, technical oversight, and team management. You will be responsible for delivering scalable, efficient, and reliable data center operations while optimizing costs, mentoring team members, and ensuring best-in-class customer experiences.
A Day In The Life:
Lead day-to-day operations of Crusoe’s data centers, ensuring 99.9% uptime and SLA compliance.
Develop, monitor and maintain infrastructure performance metrics to improve efficiency and reliability.
Optimize operational processes to reduce costs and improve scalability across multiple sites.
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of operations staff, including technicians and engineers.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Develop clear performance goals and career growth plans for the team.
Manage the lifecycle of hardware, from procurement to decommissioning.
Design and implement policies for safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
Develop and refine incident response protocols and disaster recovery strategies.
Drive automation and innovation to streamline operations and reduce downtime.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, implementing best practices for data center management and delivery.
Oversee the on-call support structure to address critical issues promptly and ensure minimal disruption.
You Will Thrive In This Role If:
Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale data center operations, with at least 7–10 years in a similar role.
Expertise in managing diverse teams, projects, and multi-site operations in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, and hardware systems.
Experience with capacity planning, budgeting, and reducing operational costs while maintaining reliability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of safety and compliance standards, including ISO, OSHA, or other relevant certifications.
Willingness to be hands-on and available to support operations during critical situations.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid as salary or hourly. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
