Role Description

• As a Product Owner, this person will be responsible for providing product guidance to an engineering team and ensuring that the business outcomes for features are met without compromising on technical integrity and stability.
• This role requires contributing towards the overall RiskFinder product team through the promotion and adoption of best practices and supporting other Product Owners to apply pragmatic approaches. The successful candidate will play an important role in streamlining data provisioning in the Market Risk IT space.
• This role is responsible for contributing towards the upcoming demand backlog into features, enabling appropriate solution development as the product representative within the team, analysing the impact of proposed changes and supporting stakeholder adoption. This requires ability to review stakeholder demand, conduct the relevant analysis, assess the potential options and collaborate with engineering and stakeholder groups to reach a consensus on solution approach.

About the team:

• Treasury Data & Business Architecture is part of the Treasury Control, Regulation and Change function which oversees strategy, first line control, regulatory engagement, investment governance and change management for the Treasury organization. 
• The Treasury Data & Business Architecture team is responsible for driving Treasury’s contribution to the Infrastructure architecture roadmap driving a number of change programmes and key components of design on front to back data flows and process. This involves partnering with Treasury business, Strats, Technology, Finance & Risk as well as all the client facing business lines. The engagement is essential to ensure technology and business processes are designed in such a way as to reduce manual processes across the organization, increase transparency over the data used in Treasury and provide tooling that enables business and senior management to make decisions that have a clear impact on the bottom line.

Your key responsibilities

• Leadership and guidance to engineering team as product representative
• Managing and reviewing feature backlog prior to next development increment
• Creation of features for team backlog and contribution to feature elaboration in general
• Understanding of business flows and translating user requirements into features to enhance the product
• Understanding of agile methodology and terminology such as SaFe, Scrum, etc.
• Collaborate with Scrum Master to manage and monitor the execution of the development increment
• Manage user acceptance testing and review test cases written by QA
• Coordinate with Product Management on understand and drive overall priorities and provide timely update on development progress
• Validate feature result to ensure implementation is achieving the desired outcome for the stakeholder and achieve real business value to stakeholder
• Raise risk and dependencies with Product Management and Release Train Engineer and work with required stakeholder for resolution
• Provide effective check and challenge to stakeholder demand where needed to ensure that changes to the product align with the overall strategic product and architecture approach
• Collaborate closely with application owners as the business/functional counterpart in solution identification and estimations
• Ensure that end users & support teams understand how to use solutions being delivered
• Support production through issue investigation and user query support

Your skills and experience

• Knowledge and experience in market risk methodologies and regulatory landscape (FRTB / Basel III / CCAR / Volcker)
• Expertise and in depth understanding of market and credit risk data and processes across risk functions including trade economics, counterparty, collateral, trading books, hierarchies etc.
• Understanding of data modelling and appropriate usage of different data types such as exposure, reference data and hierarchies
• Experience in collaborating with architects to determine appropriate solution definition
• Prior experience with Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile.
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail, ability to work with deadlines
• Assertive with the ability to provide effective positive challenge
• Good documentation skills including process modelling and functional breakdown
• Experience in implementation of complex functional solutions
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills
• Proactive and pragmatic delivery orientated approach
• Enthusiastic ‘can do’ approach to all responsibilities
• Ability to take direction as needed as well as being able to work independently
• Excellent PC skills to include proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL
• Understanding of code repository usage and associated tools (git / stash)
• Useful to have data mining experience and related skills such as python / pandas
