This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the editorial team behind one of the most iconic Sunday editions in the media industry. You’ll work alongside some of the best in the business, crafting stories that resonate with millions of readers.
As a Sunday Intern, you’ll be in the thick of it, contributing to the development of hard-hitting stories and features that define our Sunday paper—whether that means breaking news, in-depth profiles, or captivating features on entertainment and celebrity culture. Pitch your own story ideas to the team, with the chance to execute approved stories—sometimes working directly with a lead reporter.
Assist reporters with research by gathering information from sources like social media, databases, and other digital tools.
Go on location to report, gather quotes, and observe key moments, feeding notes back to the lead reporter.
Help craft hard-hitting, engaging stories for the Sunday Edition by contributing to the writing and development of articles.
Collaborate with the team to cover everything from breaking news and in-depth features to entertainment and celebrity culture.
What We’re Looking For:
A keen sense of news judgment and the ability to identify compelling stories.
A passion for hard news, with an interest in entertainment and celebrity culture.
A self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Strong writing skills and a creative mindset, with an eagerness to dive into a variety of stories.
Knowledge of New York City and its surrounding areas is preferred, but not required.
A deep interest in journalism and a desire to work on a high-impact team producing the nation’s most anticipated news coverage each Sunday.
