About the Role

We’re looking for our first People Operations Associate to support and scale our global team! This role is all about keeping our people operations organized, efficient, and running seamlessly as we grow. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration that supports our employees—from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between—while also helping to build and execute processes that enhance the employee experience.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in an operational role in a fast-moving environment. If you enjoy being a go-to resource for employee questions, bringing order to chaos, and want to be a part of building an exceptional employee experience, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a remote role supporting a globally distributed team, and reporting to the Head of People Operations.

What You Will Work On

  • Own key administrative people processes, including verifying I-9s, managing employment documents, and assisting with immigration support

  • Maintain and update people systems and tools (e.g., BambooHR) to ensure employee records, policies, and workflows stay up to date.

  • Execute key people processes, including onboarding, offboarding, training, and other key processes and tasks

  • Help build out our internal knowledge base, documenting and organizing people processes, employee resources, and other materials

  • Be a first point of contact for employee questions, providing timely and accurate answers on policies, benefits, and people processes, and escalating more complex issues when necessary

  • Foster team culture by executing people initiatives, coordinating team activities, and helping to plan team events and offsites

  • Assist with HR reporting and audits by maintaining accurate records and pulling data as needed

  • Track and manage compliance-related tasks, including required trainings, policy acknowledgments, and documentation deadlines

Who You Are

  • You have 2-3 years of experience in people operations, HR, or an administrative role, ideally at a startup

  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage varying tasks with accuracy

  • You are trustworthy and discreet, capable of handling confidential information with care

  • You are reliable and proactive, excellent at executing time-sensitive tasks and maintaining consistent processes

  • You have strong process documentation skills

  • You have a startup mindset, willing to take on both routine work and new challenges to support the team

  • You are comfortable working with people systems and have experience (or interest in learning) tools like BambooHR, Sequoia, or Deel

  • You are willing to travel quarterly for orientations or offsites, which may be international

Bonus Points

  • You’re located near our Mountain View, CA office and are willing to go onsite as needed

  • You have experience coordinating events like team gatherings and offsites

  • You’ve helped build or maintain an internal knowledge base (e.g. Notion) to document and organize company resources
