GEA Systems North America, LLC seeks an Application Engineer in York, PA, responsible to: GEA Systems North America, LLC. is seeking to fill the position of Application Engineer.

Responsibilities to include provide technical and commercial support to both the internal and external Sales groups during the pre-order stage of projects for both standard and custom industrial refrigeration and heat pump systems. This includes not only understanding the customer's specific application and applying the correct product but also determining the budget cost, estimated delivery, and developing the technical proposal. Application Engineers interact with Execution department, the Global Operations factory for product manufacturing, scheduling and procurement, and the various global Sales departments. Responsibilities: Develop cost estimates and budget documents for both standard and custom proposals; Work with vendors to get quotes for components that are not fabricated at GSNA; Perform various calculations to determine major component sizing; Assist Sales in the initial order execution prior to the order being transferred to Project Engineering; Work under close supervision; and perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable), plus five (5) years of experience in job offered or related within the refrigeration industry or experience with heat pump and heat exchanger applications.

Experience with Industrial Refrigeration, Heat Exchanger Applications, Heat Pump Applications or HVAC.
