Description
SUMMARY
Assists the Marketing and Communications team in digital aspects of promotional, communications, and marketing efforts. Supports the organization’s goals and initiatives by promoting shopping, donating, program recruitment, mission awareness, and employer partnership across various platforms including social media, websites, digital signage, other online media, and special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are listed below in order of importance, from most important to least important.
Supports the Digital Engagement Manager with creation of social media content, engagement with online community, and monitoring of social media networks.
Supports content marketing by creating engaging written, video, and photo content; manages content posting to website blog and daily management of the digital editorial calendar.
Serves as digital customer services liaison, responding to inquiries and feedback through the organization’s websites and social media channels.
Develops reports on social media and website performance to support campaign optimization.
Captures and creates digital assets including graphics, photography, video, or messaging for social media channels, websites, digital signage, and other owned channels.
Coordinates with Donated Goods Retail team on in-store campaigns, including monthly product themes, promotions, and marketing initiatives to enhance shopper engagement.
Assists with digital signage throughout the Goodwill network including digital monument signs, GOC video wall, GRID cash wrap screens, and GOC video screens.
Creates copy and assets to support email marketing strategies.
Manages and optimizes the QR code system to improve customer experience, track engagement, and support marketing efforts.
Cultivates relationships with influencers and coordinates projects that align with organizational objectives.
Assists with the development and execution of integrated marketing plans for grand openings, donation drives, pop-up events, seasonal events, key holidays, job fairs, and other events. Supports measurement and reporting of digital communications efforts supporting events.
Supports the Digital Engagement Manager with researching and evaluating new social media sites, tools, and applications that the organization can incorporate into our efforts.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with planning and development of annual marketing plan.
Represents Marketing and Communications department on cross-divisional and external teams.
Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by Manager, Digital Engagement.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding digital marketing and communications strategy. A self-starter, detail and task oriented, able to successfully manage multiple priorities and work well in cross-functional team environment.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of social media, WordPress, graphic design and word processing software. Must be able to use MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, scanner, telephone, fax machine and copy machine. Must have the ability to create and edit video content within social media platforms.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations and two to four years of professional work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, non-profit or related activities including at least one year’s experience in digital marketing assignments; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and other informative communication. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, consumers, volunteers and the general public using tact, courtesy and cooperativeness. Public speaking ability is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be a strategic thinker with interpersonal skills, creativity, idea generation and deductive reasoning. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables exercising originality, initiative and ingenuity making decisions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to sit, talk or hear. The employee frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the day) is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to walk or stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Occasional local travel required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must demonstrate a capacity for developing and understanding digital marketing and communications strategies. Preference for candidates with experience creating and managing marketing automations and communications strategies through a CRM. Looking for a self-starter who’s detailed and task oriented, and able to successfully manage multiple priorities while working well in a cross-functional team environment.
DIGITAL SKILLS
Working knowledge of automated email marketing software, lead generation forms, Word Press, Canva, and social media is strongly encouraged.
