Job Description

The Health Group is seeking a motivated Clinical Support Officer to join our team, supporting the micro-credentials and short courses portfolio.

The Clinical Support Officer is a member of the Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor (Health). Under the direction of the Director, Micro-credentialing and Short Courses (Portfolio Leader), this position provides administrative assistance and support to the micro-credential portfolio’s day-to-day operations. It will provide backfill for the Human patient Simulation program and performs other administrative work/projects as required within the broader Dean (Learning & Teaching), Health, portfolio.

As the Clinic Support Officer, Micro-credentialing and Short Courses, you will:

  • Provide general administrative support, including working party and committee support, for micro-credential sand short course development review and renewal.
  • Assist the Director, Micro-credentialing and Short Courses, to identify funding opportunities and to prepare applications and reports.
  • Coordinate and manage the processes related to the development, planning and approval of micro-credentials, short courses and digital badges, including performing environmental scans, supporting staff with preparing documentation and submitting documentation.
  • Provide policy and procedural advice to academic and professional staff and key stakeholders, and where relevant contribute to the development of procedures to ensure compliance with governing standards.
  • Support processes related to micro-credentials, short courses and digital badges including assisting with data collection related to their evaluation and improvement.
  • Review and update web content as it relates to micro-credentials and short courses.
  • Provide back fill for the Human Patient Simulation Officer and undertake other administrative and project work within the broader Dean (Learning & Teaching) portfolio, as required.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of a relevant tertiary qualification up to a diploma level or directly applicable work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
  • Experience supporting projects involving stakeholders within and external to the university.
  • Knowledge of university learning and teaching within a health area.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.

What we can offer
This is a fixed-term, part-time position (until 31 December 2025), working 18.12 hours per week and primarily based at Griffith University's Gold Coast campus.

As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
