We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Operations Planner to help support demand planning and supply planning for our operations. You will leverage your problem-solving abilities, motivation, and experience to determine order mix and quantities that support sales and inventory goals while optimizing storage capacity. We are looking for a self-starter that will drive process improvement by building out tools and metrics to support operations planning.
Work cross functionally with Category Growth and Finance teams to align on the appropriate demand plan for assigned categories, creating a demand plan based on historical trends, planned marketing spend and projected mix
Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting methodologies and statistical analysis to determine the most accurate forecast fit
Proven ability to review and analyze complex data sets, extracting actionable insights and drawing informed conclusions to drive strategic decision-making.
Create buying recommendations for generic finished goods based based on key metrics such as reorder points and safety stock minimums
Drive accountability through the implementation of key metrics such as forecast accuracy and WOC
Articulate and document all risks resulting from inventory levels including disposals, risk due to expiration and inventory shortages
Leverage analytics team members to build out appropriate reporting to support automation/tools for demand planning
Proficient in demand planning concepts with an understanding of the financial and operational implications of planning decisions
Lead integrated business planning conversations for assigned categories
5+ years experience in at least 2 of the following: Demand planning, Production planning, Supply planning
Bachelors degree required preferably in Supply Chain, Merchandising planning or other related field
3+ years experience with ERP systems, planning systems and replenishment systems is preferred
Excel and Google Sheet proficiency including experience with data manipulations – Lookups, PivotTables, External Data Connections
Basic to Intermediate SQL experience is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
Ability to think through complex problems and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
Demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives to make effective decisions
