Position: Application Developer / UX DesignIntroductionThe EPortal web application is the first impression and primary interaction point for many Intelligence Community members to access and subscribe to enterprise services and capabilities. IBM is serving this customer to modernize this mission and business system using a combination of user experience design (UXD), Agile engineering, and cloud and platform engineering for enhanced usability, scalability, and performance. Our objective is to design, develop, and deliver systems that enable our customers to search, discover, and use agency products, data, and services more efficiently.Your role and responsibilitiesResponsible for supporting the Development team in a dynamic role as a UI/UX designer and developer. In this role you will:• Prepare or update user interface mockups, per assigned Sprint tasks, to improve application usability or limited new features in new web application release(s), as requested by the customer• Perform full-stack new feature development, per assigned Sprint tasks and as identified through Release Planning effortsRequired technical and professional expertise• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field• Experience using UI/UX best practices and tools such as Adobe XD or Figma to design interfaces and workflows to enhance user experiences for web applications• Experience developing web applications using tools such as React, Node.js, java script, and web service APIs to meet feature and user story acceptance criteria• Experience making products more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customersPreferred technical and professional experience• Understanding of product specifications and user psychology• Experience developing wireframes and prototypes around customer needs• Experience finding creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g., usability, findability)• Experience with communication design ideas and prototypes to developers
