Role - SAP BI/BW Consultant
 
SAP Skills
  • Experience of at least two end to end implementations with SAP BW.
  • Ability to develop effective data models, extractions, transformations and loading utilizing the SAP BW toolset.
  • Experience with SAP BW on HANA modeling and building, end-to-end data flow with A-DSOs, Open ODSs, Composite Provider, AMDP scripting, and queries.
  • Ability to build BEX queries as a data-source for Business Objects reporting.
  • Development experience with SAP HANA modeling tools, SAP Analytics cloud, or other BI tools like Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Experience with ODP data sources and CDS extractions.
  • Experience in ABAP coding, Custom Extractors, and standard enhancements.
  • Ability to extend and customize extractors for the data from S4 to BW.  
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Exposure to other SAP modules and integration points.
Responsibilities
  • Gather and assess development requirements and/or specifications from business stakeholders and/or functional analyst.
  • Translate development requirements and specifications into high-quality, efficient SAP solutions.
  • Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test, and debug programs.
  • Provide L1 & L2 level technical support as part of the global SAP BI BW Operations team Support, optimization and customization of our core SAP BI BW technologies.
  • Managing cases, requests and enhancements using Std organization tools and processes ensuring that BW systems are fully operational.
  • Monitor and ensure any loss of service is restored in a timely and efficient manner, providing a high level of service to our global SAP BW team and adhering to our strict SLAs for response and restoration times.
  • Increase the Performance of Queries by Maintaining Aggregates, Roll-Up, Compression, Creating and Deleting Indexes for the Info providers to improve the Load and Query Performances.
  • Work on Archiving activity and Logical table distribution activity to transfer data to different nodes which is to resolve memory allocation issue and increase system performance.
  • Engage in housekeeping activities, like purge unwanted data or data targets from BW system also make changes in Bex queries to add or remove filters, variable. Maintain process chains.
Qualification/Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree IT or equivalent 3 to 6 years of experience in one or more SAP modules.
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BW/4HANA & SAP HANA is preferred.
  • Exposure to other SAP modules and integration points.
  • Ready to work in rotational shifts timings.
Business Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (optional).
  • Understand business processes for focus areas or modules.
  • Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Aptitude for working in a team environment; problem-solving skills, creative thinking, communicating clearly and empathetically, strong time management, and ability to collaborate with all levels of staff.
  • Learn/understand consulting “soft” skills necessary on engagements, as well as with team collaborative initiatives.
