Job Description

Our Infrastructure, Assets & Places (IAP) group look for talented individuals who share our purpose of building a better Australia through the planning, procurement, delivery and optimisation of infrastructure, assets, and places.

Our team has the experience and expertise at every stage of the project lifecycle across a diverse range of infrastructure and engineering works. We understand the complex challenges in delivering major infrastructure projects. Your Opportunity

A global group of infrastructure specialists, we are passionate about continuous innovation, technology, engineering, performance, and efficiency – and how together we can make a difference and build a better future for all Australians. We are seeking candidates from Consultant to Director level, and we support clients across a range of different service offerings including:

Planning, Infrastructure and Economics

Our Planning & Infrastructure Economics team can help plan our cities and regions for now and the future by helping develop and prioritise projects that address the immediate as well as long term requirements and generate sustainable community benefits.

Commercial Advisory & Transactions

Our Commercial Advisory and Transactions team provides specialist commercial and financial advice, and tailored transaction management advice to clients for major infrastructure projects. We support our clients by providing strategic, commercial, and financial advice, developing business cases and feasibility studies, contract and commercial negotiations and financial analysis and modelling.

Project and Program Delivery

Our Project and Program Delivery team strategically partner with our clients to increase their likelihood of success by addressing challenges in developing and delivering major infrastructure projects and programs of work. We provide integrated project management, project controls, planning and design and, contract compliance and assurance advice using data-driven tools and methodologies and provide practical and reliable project support services.

Engineering and Asset Management

Our Engineering and Asset Management team offer a holistic approach to managing infrastructure assets, balancing the cost, risk, and performance to deliver better financial and customer outcomes.

We take a data-first approach to making decisions for asset management, linking business strategy and operational action. We will help deliver results that align with your value framework, operational context, and risk appetite.

  • You are confident in project management environments, with a love of big-picture thinking and the skills to see projects from beginning to end, such as establishing project details, performance measurement baselines, key milestones, work breakdown structures, and resource planning.

Planning, Infrastructure and Economics

  • Experience providing strategic advice, helping to forecast demand or shape investment decisions in the delivery of Social Infrastructure, Transport or Energy themed projects.
  • Experience in infrastructure investment planning, economic analysis, regulatory economics, feasibility planning, quantitative analysis, data science, econometrics and/or model development, demand modelling and forecasting, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, engineering, planning, mathematics, statistics, computer science, commerce, business, law, or other relevant areas.

Commercial Advisory & Transactions

  • Experience delivering strategic, financial, transactional, or commercial advice in respect to major infrastructure projects, complex service procurement, strategy and/or transaction advisory across either transport, social infrastructure, real estate, energy, or resources sectors.
  • Professional experience gained in a Chartered Accounting firm, law firm, management consultancy, engineering consultancy, corporate advisory, investment bank, project finance team of a commercial bank, infrastructure fund, construction firm or within Government.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, economics, law, engineering, or similar fields.

Project and Program Delivery

  • Qualifications in Engineering (civil, structural, mechanical), Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Project Management.
  • Experience in a Project Management/Controls/Risk/Planning functions with cost, risk, schedule or change experiences coupled with appropriate skills in procedures for Project Controls implementation and management.
  • Knowledge of best industry practice Project Management, Project Controls and Risk/Contingency Management (e.g., PMBOK, Total Cost Management AACE, ISO 31000, RES Contingency Guideline, etc).

Engineering and Asset Management

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Reliability or Project Management.
  • Experience in building asset management capabilities to optimise physical assets and realise their value.
  • Exposure with different clients across numerous sectors, including defence, infrastructure, and energy.

Please note, the salary ranges $60k - $250k+ with respect to your level of experience.
