Job Description

We are seeking a Government Affairs Associate II to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our organization's government relations strategy and advocating for our interests at various levels of government.

  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments that may impact our organization
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations on policy issues for internal stakeholders
  • Assist in developing and implementing advocacy strategies to advance our policy objectives
  • Represent the organization at meetings with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and coordinate responses to policy inquiries
  • Support the development and maintenance of key relationships with government officials and policymakers
  • Contribute to the preparation of written materials such as position papers, testimony, and regulatory comments
  • Assist in organizing and executing government affairs events and activities
  • Track and report on the progress of legislative and regulatory initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough research and analyze complex policy issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of current political landscape and policy issues relevant to our industry
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with policy advocacy and government relations strategies

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY:  The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $66,000 – $86,000 per year plus bonus. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Company-matching 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and Tuition Reimbursement, in addition to other programs and perks. 

Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. RRS Group will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
