Job Description

As Senior Associate in the accounting advisory service team (CMAAS), your learning curve is about to explode! CMAAS is a specialized department that advises clients on complex accounting and reporting matters, including the recent requirements of, amongst others, the EU Taxonomy.

The Competence Center EU Taxonomy is in the process of being setup and your role will be a unique one. Most important to know is that in this Assistant Manager role you will get trained as subject matter expert on the EU Taxonomy. In the first and last quarter of the year you will mainly provide assistance to audit teams, while in the remainder of the year you will not have a full schedule. This is an opportunity to shape the role with additional scope and to work on advisory engagements as well. As in the near future all large companies will have to report in line with the EU Taxonomy there are potentially many very interesting clients and engagements coming your way!

Qualifications

  • Develop yourself as subject matter expert in the EU Taxonomy
  • Supporting our clients in advising how to interpret the EU Taxonomy requirements, combined with an audit assist role as subject matter expert
  • Being the linking pin between different KPMG departments (CMAAS, Sustainability, Audit, Department of Professional Practice)
  • Having a critical mindset and a collaborative way of working
  • Providing training on non-financial reporting
  • Adapting easily while working in different teams
  • Master studies in Accounting or Control or other relevant studies
  • Certified accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA, other relevant studies)
  • 5-8 years of relevant working experience, a significant part of which in external audit
  • Specific interest in sustainability
  • Preferably experience with non-financial reporting
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, ability to work under pressure
  • Work independently and enjoy the challenge of working with multiple stakeholders
  • Writing and speaking the English language for our (inter)national client.
