Sr. Product Manager (Contract) (Remote)

Overview:

We’re searching for a builder, a strategic thinker, and a hands-on doer—someone with a founder’s mindset who thrives in ambiguity and can turn a post-it note idea into a built MVP.

As a product leader on a multidisciplinary venture team (engineering, data, and business), you’ll be responsible for everything product—from early-stage concept validation to shaping and shipping a new business. You’ll need to move fast, balance big-picture vision with execution, and be an effective communicator across stakeholders, corporate partners, investors, and users.

This role is for someone who loves zero-to-one product building, can ramp up quickly in unfamiliar industries, and is comfortable making decisive product bets in high-uncertainty environments.

*Please note this is a 6 month contract position*

In this role you will:

  • Turn ideas into reality—own the full product lifecycle from early research and prototyping to launch and iteration.
  • Think big, dive deep—balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, switching seamlessly between high-level business goals and product details.
  • Build MVPs that matter—prioritize what’s desirable, viable, and feasible in new venture development.
  • Communicate like a founder—work cross-functionally with engineering, business, and design, and align corporate partners, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Master rapid learning—quickly understand new industries, customers, and technical landscapes to inform product strategy.
  • Lead with data and insight—drive user research, prototype testing, roadmap development, and sprint execution to validate ideas and iterate effectively.

Who You Are:

  • You have built and shipped products from scratch—not just iterated on existing ones.
  • You thrive in ambiguity—and know how to structure chaos into a roadmap.
  • You’re a storyteller and influencer—you can get buy-in from executives, engineers, and investors alike.
  • You’re a hands-on builder—comfortable jumping between customer interviews, Figma mocks, AI tools, and PRDs.
  • You think like an entrepreneur—not waiting for permission, but making things happen.

You should have:

  • 5+ years in product management, preferably in early-stage B2B SaaS startups.
  • Experience in zero-to-one product development, including MVP scoping, rapid iteration, and GTM strategy.
  • Strong technical fluency and experience working with engineers (bonus: exp. building AI/ML, data-driven products).
  • A knack for deconstructing new industries and business models quickly; experience with upstream oil and gas or similar industries is a big plus
  • Ability to move fast without sacrificing quality, balancing speed and thoughtfulness in execution.
  • Experience in high-stakes communication—aligning execs, partners, and investors around product vision.
