Proposal Writer

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Develop and implement best practices for proposal development and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
- Participate in the Sales Management meetings and ensure that all client facing new business pieces are accurate and consistent
Proposal and Slide Deck Development:
- Oversee the entire proposal lifecycle, from planning and strategy to writing, editing, and submission.
- Manage Loopio, the RFP and proposal writing software, and ensure that all templates and repositories are up to date.
- Coordinate with business development, the Director of Solutions Consulting, technical, and subject matter experts to gather necessary information and develop proposal content.
- Assist with PowerPoint templates, consistency and help AVPs with any content strategy for onsite visits as needed.
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute proposal strategies that align with organizational goals and client requirements.
- Analyze proposal requirements and develop detailed plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
- Review and edit proposal content for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with client specifications and RFP requirements.
- Ensure proposals are reviewed and approved by all relevant stakeholders before submission.
- Make sure that multiproduct proposals are reflected accurately and branding is consistent.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal process.
- Maintain and update proposal templates, content libraries, and tools to streamline proposal development.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for proposal-related inquiries and communications with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and tailor proposals to address specific requirements.
- Interview and outline all case studies and submit for final editing to marketing.
- Manage a list of customer references for each product line and liaise with Client Success for enhancement and best practice.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage proposal budgets, including estimating resource requirements and tracking expenses.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and high-quality proposal submissions.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management or a related field
- Proven track record of managing complex proposals and leading proposal teams.
- Strong understanding of proposal processes, including compliance, writing, and editing.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Proficiency in proposal management software and tools.
