BI Development Lead to Lowell Nordics

The BI Developer team is currently present in all Nordic countries and work closely together.

You need to be based in one of our Nordic locations, which are Turku, Gothenburg, Oslo, or Horsens. We support a hybrid work model with working from home and at least 2 days per week at the office.

You also need to have willingness to do some travel between our sites.

Your role:

As BI Development Lead you will be leading and developing a BI Developer team within the Nordic BI function to oversee the development of data solutions. In this role you will be coaching a group of BI Developers with technical expertise and business knowledge. You will be co-leading numerous data projects and work alongside the Nordic BI Manager and wider data teams to strengthen our Nordic data landscape.

Who are you?

You are a dynamic person with a passion for Business Intelligence (BI) and a proven track record in guiding and developing teams or peers.

With your business mind-set and ability to take a holistic view you excel in coaching developers to provide insightful reporting solutions to business problems. You coach developers daily to create comprehensive end-to-end data pipelines that culminate in impactful dashboards and reports.

Your technical expertise is vast and forward-thinking, encompassing Azure technologies, Databricks for data-set handling, and proficiency in data modeling within the reporting layer.  

You have a strategic mindset and are skilled in overseeing and developing reporting architectures and distribution channels in collaboration with other Nordic functions. You are interested in taking an ownership of BI projects, as you help remove blockers and inspire people around you to deliver high-quality results.

You are dedicated to maintaining best practices for BI Solutions, including thorough documentation, peer review, UAT-testing, version control, and securing business sign-off. Your governance is strong and structured.

Together with the Nordic BI Manager you will get to demonstrate the value of the BI function and contribute to its continuous improvement and success.

You have a university degree (Bachelors or Masters) in relevant field and relevant certifications are considered a plus. You speak one of the Nordic languages and since our company language is English you are fluent in English orally and in writing.

You are also:

  • Comfortable communicating and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experienced working in an Agile delivery environment with a structured, collaborative mindset
  • Strong understanding of SQL, BI tools (Power BI, RS, Power Automate etc) and Azure platform.
  • Knowledge of Data Factory and Databricks environment are beneficial.
