About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting high-value hedge fund and private equity prospects into clients for our premium market research services. This position provides the opportunity to enhance your career in sales, continue to develop your selling skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the sales process and business acumen.
You will be responsible for managing the top of the sales funnel during the early stages of the sales cycle, focusing on inbound lead qualification. This involves conducting customer research, prospecting, initial contact, and lead qualification to generate sales-qualified leads (SQLs).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of booking meetings and helping to sell complex B2B solutions to sophisticated financial services clients, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the investment management landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Meet or exceed defined performance indicators and goals for meetings and revenue.
Research and gather information on contacts and organizations within the Hedge Fund and Private Equity Industries to create targeted and relevant outbound messaging.
Execute prospecting cadences through email, cold-calling, and social outreach to generate leads.
Follow-up and qualify both outbound and inbound leads.
Collaborate with sales leadership to develop prospecting strategies and approaches.
Contribute to NewtonX’s social media presence.
Record activities and maintain up-to-date prospect and client records in Salesforce.
Meet monthly and quarterly activity goals.
Take ownership of your professional growth and support your team's development.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, client success, consulting, or research, preferred but not all required to be in Financial Services.
Bachelor’s degree.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in cold calling, sequence creation, and a multi-thread approach to prospecting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to plan and prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities.
Exceptional relationship-building and networking abilities
Strong business acumen and interest in growing financial literacy
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Competitive compensation: base salary range of $70,000-$75,000, plus commission and employee equity program.
