As a Program Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Pepperstone’s most complex and high-impact programs across the business. You will oversee all aspects of program execution — from shaping delivery roadmaps to coaching squads and ensuring strategic objectives are met — while fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with governance standards. This role reports to the Head of Portfolio Management & Delivery, based in Melbourne, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, multi-squad programs from scoping to release.
  • Develop and maintain detailed delivery roadmaps, identifying key milestones, dependencies, and critical activities.
  • Present clear and concise program updates to stakeholders, including senior executives, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate key workshops and meetings to align all stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional squads, including Product Owners and Business Analysts.
  • Provide technical governance, ensuring squads follow engineering processes and standards.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Solution Architects to ensure milestone delivery and high-quality outputs.

  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-level programs in a matrix organisation.
  • Deep understanding of agile delivery and managing 10+ squads in a scaled agile environment.
  • Expert user of Jira and Jira Roadmaps.
  • Strong experience presenting program status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Skilled in risk management, governance, and program documentation.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders alike.
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and inspiring delivery excellence.
