Telehealth Physician (Nova Scotia)

What we're looking for

We are Phoenix, a mission-driven digital healthcare platform for men. We are looking for an innovative part-time physician who lives in the province of Nova Scotia and specializes in Family Medicine. We’re setting the bar for asynchronous telemedicine which works better for patients, and physicians alike.

Each consultation begins with the patient providing a comprehensive medical history through our intelligent and graded online treatment platform. You will review the patient’s treatment requests and determine if the visitor is an appropriate candidate for telemedicine. If the patient qualifies for treatment, you will provide the corresponding prescription. If you need any additional information for treatment, you can follow up with the patient via our secure messaging platform. If we are unable to treat a patient, we will automatically refer them to the nearest health centre.

Phoenix currently specializes in treating common men’s health conditions, specifically erectile dysfunction, hair loss, and weight loss.

Qualifications

  • You have excellent communication skills

  • You are technologically savvy

  • You have the ability to respond to patients quickly

  • You are a resident of Nova Scotia and independently licensed member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia

  • You care about men’s health and have a personal connection to the space

  • You are excited about innovations in digital health, and excited to work with a fast growing company

Perks of the Job

  • Self-scheduled: work from the comfort of your home and review treatment requests whenever you are available from your laptop, iPhone or iPad

  • CMPA covered: fully covered by your existing malpractice insurance. No additional coverage needed

  • Top-tier tech: We provide an intelligent platform built by software engineers with a passion for usability, design, and men's health

  • Private pay: Patients pay via credit card or insurance. You earn for every consultation on our telemedicine platform

  • Physicians are compensated on a per consultation basis. Each consultation takes under 5 minutes on average to complete

Why work at Phoenix?

  • Impact & autonomy. You’ll work directly with our founders who understand the ups-and-downs of the business and you'll have a real opportunity to shape the future at Phoenix

  • Rewarding Mission. We're delivering the best healthcare experience to Canadians across the country

  • Collaborative Culture. We are a small elite team in Downtown Toronto. We love the tight feedback loop of working together in the office. If you've missed that in-person office experience, and love sharing strongly held opinions of the best lunch spot nearby, this is the role for you

Phoenix is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
