Pigment is looking for a lead designer to be a key pillar of our product design team. In this role, you will be the design owner of multiple areas of the platform and lead high-impact and strategic initiatives.


What you’ll do :


You will research users needs and identify new opportunities, assist Product Managers to build your team’s roadmap, and create exceptional end-to-end user experiences that matches both our users’ expectations and fulfil our company’s business objectives.


As a lead designer, you will work with, mentor and review the work of other designers to ensure world-class quality.


Finally, as a growing team, you have the unique opportunity to shape the global design culture at Pigment and introduce new methodologies to the Pigment product team. This position is an individual contributor role but experience mentoring and managing the small set of designers working with you is required.


Responsibilities :


- Lead an end-to-end design process from problem definition to production delivery

- Conduct exploratory research, create user journey maps, identify insights to inform your team’s scope and make better design decisions

- Turn complicated and technical requirements into easy to follow user-centered stories

- Conceptualize and design innovative solutions

- Develop highly functional user experience and stunning user interfaces

- Conduct usability testing to learn from our users and build stronger design solutions

- Collaborate closely with product managers to build a user-centric product roadmap

- Advocate for design best practices across the organization

- Ensure excellent design quality in everything your team is delivering

- Mentor and provide guidance to the designers working with you in your team’s scope

- Identify new opportunities, lead your own initiatives to positively impact the Pigment platform and organization



Who you are
  • 8+ years of experience as a product designer working on complex B2B software
  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing and leading the creation of innovative user-centric experiences
  • Deep understanding of design and product development processes in an agile environment
  • Complete mastering of UI patterns, UX best practices and graphic design principles applied to software design such as typography, layouts, colors, components, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS, Javascript and React for optimal collaboration with engineers
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to articulate and present your design decisions the right way depending on your audience
  • A strong product sense and business sensibility
  • Experience leading and providing guidance to other designers in order to deliver high-quality design solutions
  • A strategic mind with the ability to balance tactical and pragmatic solutions to bring immediate value creation and long-term strategic investment
  • An interest and curiosity for the way Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we interact with technology
