Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include experience with containerization technologies and basic knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
Location: This position is located in Alpharetta, GA with potential for remote work options.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $110,000 - $150,000.
PlayOn is looking for a Cloud Engineer to help manage and improve our application infrastructure on AWS while following industry best practices, allowing engineers to both build and maintain our products with speed and at scale. You will work alongside our Product-Oriented Delivery teams (PODs) to automate, secure, and enhance our development and deployment workflows. Your contributions will be key in ensuring reliable and efficient cloud solutions that align with our business objectives.
Reporting to the Director of Cloud Engineering, the best candidate will be a strong AWS cloud engineering background and experience championing best in class devops practices in a high performing engineering environment.
THE OUTCOMES WE EXPECT
Ensure AWS environments can handle peak traffic during football season, with auto-scaling and performance optimizations.
Continuously analyze and implement cloud cost-saving measures, including right-sizing and auto-scaling strategies.
Implement and maintain failover strategies to ensure 99.99% uptime during critical sports events.
Work closely with development teams to foster a DevOps culture and document best practice
