Director of Marketing

RareCyte is a Life Sciences Precision Biology company focused on the development of novel technology and products in spatial biology and liquid biopsy. Our platforms have been adopted by leading research institutions and pharmaceutical companies worldwide for translational research, drug discovery and clinical programs. The breakthrough Orion technology is revolutionary in the spatial biology market, enabling tissue analysis with 20 channel whole-slide multiplex imaging in a single run. 

 

RareCyte is seeking a Director of Marketing based in our Seattle, WA headquarters. The successful candidate will utilize marketing and scientific expertise to drive strategy and implement marketing activities including message development, content creation, lead generation, advertising, PR and market awareness campaigns. If you enjoy helping bring new technologies to market, have a background in life sciences, and are capable of fitting into a flexible and multidisciplinary environment, then this position is for you!


Responsibilities
  • Create, organize, and manage campaigns to generate leads that will drive a robust sales funnel
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies including positioning, messaging, and channel
  • Track success using KPIs and other metrics and report out to senior leadership on a regular basis
  • Develop marketing collateral including brochures, data sheets, application notes, flyers, presentations, video projects, etc.
  • Support tradeshows by developing messaging, conference emails, and collateral; take ownership for scientific abstract submission, poster and podium presentation schedules
  • Support launch of new products by developing presentations, collateral, training materials, awareness campaigns and website content
  • Create and manage the release process for company press releases, manage and distribute materials to the media
  • Manage the Pardot and Salesforce systems, develop and monitor metrics of campaigns and manage leads into the funnel
  • Develop website content, optimize and publish content updates
  • Travel to marketing events as required


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, communications or marketing
  • Minimum 5 years marketing experience; 1-2 years in a leadership role
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Creative thinker, self-driven and highly organized
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. SalesForce), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks
  • Understanding of online/digital marketing, website management and social media
  • Scientific background in life sciences with experience in one or more of the following is a plus: oncology, pathology, or spatial biology
  • Experience in launching and scaling products in life sciences
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat)


Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $160,000 - $190,000 (annualized salary)

 

The base pay/salary range represents an estimated range for this position in the Seattle area. Determining a base wage will be based on several factors which include skill set, level of education, experience and qualifications, as well as the comparison to existing RareCyte employees at a similar level or in a similar position (as appropriate). Some roles may also qualify for additional compensation such as bonus, commission, stock options and travel allowance.
