Company Description

The Gaming Manager will develop, manage, own, and facilitate the execution of regional Gaming-focused marketing initiatives across their region. In addition, they will provide strategic consultation to neighboring regions. Through events, players, and the local community, the Gaming Manager will build local and regional brand relevance while paying into Red Bull's global and national strategic direction to put cans in the hands of gamers.

Job Description

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Work with SaMo gaming team and regional marketing teams to build and execute activation programs around the Red Bull Gamer – considering key titles, gaming events, and local competitions

Identify, attend, and support events of our partners, and work with regional marketing teams to own the gaming activation at these events

Be project lead on activations, at 3rd party, and at owned gaming events. As project lead, oversee the project budget, org chart, and RACI from concept to completion.

Scout future trends, players, and spaces where Red Bull can make a consumer impact in this rapidly changing landscape

Create new and ownable gaming ideas to be pitched in business plan that are regionally relevant, unique in concept, and aspirational to the local community

 

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the local gaming audience and player landscape (for example, emerging/popular titles, platform trends, lifestyle, etc.)

Map Red Bull's presence in local gaming spaces (arcades, LAN centers, etc.) where the brand can credibly show up and support the community of players

Identify and build relationships with gaming community leaders, influencers, and content creators

Work cross functionally with Brand Manager to activate locations where the gaming occasion occurs, such as on prem partnership locations, new venues, and campuses

Execute outreach programs to ensure Red Bull Energy Drink is fueling local players

 

TALENT IDENTIFICATION

Identify, build, and maintain relationships with up-and-coming gaming opinion leaders

Work with regional Communications teams to activate gaming talent at Red Bull events

Partner with national and local Red Bull Athlete Managers to help develop concepts for new gaming events and executions

Work closely with Athlete Marketing Manager to help scout new talent, support gaming athlete activations, and integrate athletes into owned projects

Qualifications

3+ years of gaming/esports management and marketing experience

Comprehensive understanding of the esports landscape, including relevant game titles and publishers/developers, athletes and teams, league and tournament structures, etc.

Understanding of existing and emerging trends within the gaming and esports industries

Creative thinker with proven ability to design, communicate, and bring compelling esports products and initiatives to market

Vital program/project management skills with ability to drive planning, schedules, estimates, budgeting, resource plans, and status reports

Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must have a valid U.S. driver's license

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Must be fluent in English; additional language skills an advantage

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

 

The base salary range for this position is $85,600 to $128,400 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
