Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Specialist to develop and execute Sandisk’s communications strategy for global operations. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing employee engagement, fostering a strong company culture, and ensuring organizational alignment through compelling visual and written content. Collaborating closely with Human Resources, Marketing and Corporate Communications, and Global Operations teams, this role will focus on crafting and tailoring impactful messaging that supports company goals and cultivates a culture of growth, engagement, and innovation. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • End-to-end development and execution of fit-for-purpose communications strategy across all channels including but not limited to email, newsletters, webinars, presentations, onsite, and intranet.   

  • Quality content creation both text and audio/video/visual to support SVP, Global Operations and function leaders (e.g. manufacturing, sustainability, IT, etc.).  Complete ownership of graphic design with strong awareness of latest design trends and production techniques.  Strong brand and messaging awareness (style, tone, etc.). 

  • Internal communications including regular information dissemination, townhalls, promotional and training videos, industry briefing documents, etc. 

  • External communications including conference keynotes, public-facing reports, marketing materials, etc. 

  • Internal digital footprint (build and maintain) including landing pages, web-based interactive tools, etc. 

  • Stakeholder management to align messaging, streamline processes, and drive scalable communication solutions 

  • Proactive assessment of communication needs by building and maintaining relationships, assessing opportunities, and tracking engagement metrics 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3+ years in corporate communications or similar roles, e.g. people development / engagement 

  • Responsible for developing, managing, and executing strategic communications plans across diverse channels to advance awareness and distinction of the company’s messaging.  

  • Demonstrated experience in crafting messages and designing high-quality graphics and videos for internal corporate communications 

  • Strong proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint advanced design skills) and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar, After Effect) 

  • Familiarity with digital platforms and tools for managing corporate communications, e.g. email marketing systems, social media management platforms, etc.  

SKILLS:

  • Creative: strong storytelling abilities with a keen eye for design, layout, and composition 

  • Technical: strong understanding of video production techniques, including filming, editing, and post-production processes; ability to design and maintain digital pages 

  • Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate and structure complex ideas into clear, engaging, and visually appealing content 

  • Editorial: strong writing and editing skills to deliver high-impact, high-quality communications products for internal and external audiences 

  • Project Management: independently lead, own, and manage multiple projects, each at different stages of maturity.  Strong awareness of when to engage other resources and building / meeting project timelines in a fast-paced environment 

  • Interpersonal: strong stakeholder management skills to build relationships at all levels of the organization, and the ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits Details

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Sandisk's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
