Position Overview

Now Hiring! Territory Salesperson

 

Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 (DOE) plus commission

 

Job Summary: At Sprouse Windows and Doors, we are seeking a dynamic Salesperson to join our team! In this position, you’ll play a key role in generating sales of Sprouse window and door products to a designated territory of building supply companies, home centers, lumberyards, and dealers. This will involve actively prospecting, building relationships, presenting product features and benefits, and closing deals, all while adhering to company sales strategies and pricing guidelines.

 

This position requires extensive travel throughout the East Tennessee area, as well as South and Western Virginia, including overnight trips.

What You’ll Do:

  • Sales Prospecting: Actively identify and cultivate new customer leads within the assigned territory through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with existing customers by providing excellent service, understanding their needs, and proactively addressing concerns.
  • Product Presentation: Effectively present Sprouse window and door product features, benefits, and value propositions to potential customers, including detailed demonstrations and technical specifications.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, including quoting prices, addressing customer objections, and negotiating contracts.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated on current building codes, construction practices, and industry trends to accurately advise customers on product suitability and application.
  • Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders, ensuring proper product selection, specifications, and delivery arrangements.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify sales opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. (College Degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in Business to Business (B2B) sales and a proven track record of success. Experience within the building industry is highly preferred.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with product lines, including technical specifications, performance characteristics, and application options.
  • Familiarity with construction practices, building codes, and project estimating.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.
