The Job:

As the Handheld Supply Planning Manager, you will be a key member of our Outdoor team responsible for leading KPI reviews, standard work in Planning, and managing projects that deliver the groups driving following objectives:

  • 10 Working Capital Turns
  • 98% Service Level
  • Capacity Management
  • People Development

You will be the supply manager of key Handheld Outdoor categories and significant Continuous Improvement projects, providing the highest level of customer service level while maintaining appropriate control of inventory cost.  You’ll also get to: 

  • Regularly review % to Target, Workbench Capacity, Safety Stock, and plant schedules to achieve WCT turns goals balanced with customer fill rates
  • Facilitate Operations Report Outs to the business on strategy, plans, results and KPI progress as well as status of projects, working capital, service level, new products, capacity, issues, and corrective actions
  • Leading key Supply Chain projects to deliver standard work and increase working capital turns
  • Deploy Statistical Safety Stocks strategy using Optiant ABC Methodologies and JDA Parameters
  • Coordinate with Plants to effectively utilize their operations to deliver SL and WC improvements, and New Product Growth
  • Navigate the business through short supply challenges, as well as discover, resolve, and communicate recovery
  • Become an expert in the JDA/SAP planning systems to support plant planners and drive planning efficiency
  • Serve as link between suppliers/manufacturing locations and the market

The Person:  

You are the key leader and POC for all supply chain related to Handheld Outdoor.  You will lead a team of 4-5 experience planners to continue to improve the Outdoor HH categories and support in their personal development. You also have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Mgt, or Manufacturing preferred
  • Advanced computer systems skill set & creativity (JDA, SAP, Excel, Business Warehouse)
  • Demonstrated attitude of Ownership and Initiative to overcome challenges
  • 6-10 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or Manufacturing Experience
  • 3-5 year of direct report responsibility
  • Strong cross-functional supply chain process knowledge
  • Ability Travel up to 20%

The base pay range for this position in California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Maryland is $93,400- $168,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
