Associate General Counsel

 

Our Associate General Counsel will supporting our business with all regulatory and legal matters. They will be responsible for a variety of regulatory and legal matters, as well as supporting the business from a compliance standpoint.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Providing business support on a variety of regulatory and legal matters

  • Interpreting legislation and regulations affecting mortgage brokers and lenders

  • Reviewing business relationships with vendors

  • Conducting legal research on unique legal issues impacting the organization

  • Keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect the Company

  • Providing legal training to Company team members

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Michigan bar licensed attorney
  • 5+ years of experience performing corporate legal work
  • Experience in the mortgage banking, banking, loan servicing, or financial industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Have effective planning, organizational and project management skills
  • Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
  • Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have excellent written and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work independently
  • Have critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environment
