Engagement Officer

  • Base salary will be in the range $80,523.29 - $89,505.38 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)

  • Based at our picturesque St Lucia Campus

About This Opportunity 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Engagement Officer to join a creative and high-performing team. The role delivers a range of multi-media communications and marketing activities to support Global Partnership’s aim to identify and support strategic international partnerships, programs and projects.   

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage digital marketing projects, ensuring alignment with brand and accessibility standards.

  • Plan, write, and edit website content using SEO best practices.

  • Oversee website quality, updates, and stakeholder-driven refreshes within the UQ domain.

  • Provide advice on website solutions, user experience, and engagement strategies.

  • Analyse website performance and recommend optimizations.

  • Develop emails and digital newsletters for student, staff, and partner engagement.

  • Set up event registration forms and marketing automations.

  • Simplify complex information into clear messages across various media.

  • Support marketing admin tasks, including budget tracking and obtaining quotes.

About You  

We're looking for a passionate and driven individual to contribute to our exciting digital marketing initiatives. If you thrive in a supportive environment and are ready to make an impact, you'll fit right in.

  • A degree in marketing, communications or another relevant field

  • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in website content management and digital marketing roles

  • Experience producing written communications for a variety of internal and external audiences (i.e. articles, blogs, speeches, reports)

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in design software, especially InDesign, Illustrator, as well as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience with email communication platforms e.g., Vision 6, and Website content management systems (CMS) e.g., Drupal, Magento or WordPress

  • Ability to report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, analyse results and provide recommendations for improvement

  • Experience project managing digital marketing activities including website, email and SEM.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia
