Head of Marketing

Vendelux helps companies discover the best events. Event marketers are the unsung heroes of successful companies. From generating leads to building world-class brands, event marketers make magic happen throughout the year. Vendelux is here to help maximize the impact of all the events that a company sponsors and attends.


We are a Series A SaaS company and provide the system of record for event marketing. Our software platform provides proprietary insights that helps high-growth companies find the highest ROI events, conferences and trade shows to attend and sponsor. We have built an AI-powered platform that customers describe as an event marketer’s dream.

Vendelux was founded in 2021, and our recent $14 million Series A was led by FirstMark, whose portfolio includes companies like Shopify, Pinterest, Discord, Airbnb, Draft Kings, Carta and Justworks (amongst others). Our leadership team includes alumni from Shutterstock, Bain, ZoomInfo, Zulily, NewtonX and Compass.

Now we need a Head of Marketing to get the word out about our company, produce consistent qualified leads for our sales team and help us hit our aggressive revenue goals. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced SaaS marketer who wants to build and scale the marketing machine. Huge plus for any marketers who have used Vendelux before.

Responsibilities

The Head of Marketing role is a full-time position based on-site in our NYC headquarters and reports to our COO.

  • Create and execute a B2B SaaS marketing strategy that generates new leads and deepens relationships with current customers and prospects

  • Own our event strategy, from sponsorship to speaking engagements and community activations

  • Develop a demand generation plan that brings in the right leads from the right channels

  • Oversee product marketing, PR & thought leadership and brand

  • Hire, mentor and manage individual contributors on the marketing team; also managing SDR team would be a plus

  • Implement software systems like marketing automation platforms to scale the program

  • Manage team budget and forecasting

  • Produce MQLs that ultimately result in revenue and meet/exceed growth goals

Qualifications

  • Great team member who contributes to our culture and our business

  • Experience building all functions of marketing for a Series A or B stage startup

  • Expert in events and event marketing as the primary pipeline and revenue channel

  • Takes ownership and demands excellence from themselves and others

  • Likes a fast paced environment and is a quick learner

  • Results-driven and can prioritize activities with the greatest impact

  • 10+ years experience working in marketing at a high-growth SaaS company

  • Proven track record of overcoming challenges and showing progress
