Job Description

The Data Science Senior Manager will manage and lead data innovations in support of the Visa Consulting & Analytics team and our external partners. This role involves close collaboration with various Visa departments and clients to understand their requirements and create data-driven solutions.

Job Description and Key responsibilities

 

  • contribute to the development and refinement of new solution ideas for a diverse range of clients.
  • participate in the prioritization of new solution development in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • developing proof of value, including business case simulation.
  • collaborate with clusters for solution testing.
  • work closely with clients to understand their needs and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions.
  • leading the technical product management for hardening cluster-based solutions.
  • developing business and technical requirements for the Data Engineering and Solutions team.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data science outputs.
  • help in the development of collateral to enable cluster sales.
  • collaborate with data product sales specialists and consultants in client engagement.
  • Play a key role in the commercialization of data by identifying potential markets, developing go-to-market strategies, and driving sales efforts.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in role in data science
  • Strong experience with data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with payments data is highly desirable.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English
