Job Description

Job Summary: The Payroll Query Management Analyst will be responsible for addressing and resolving payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies . This role involves coordinating with various functions with people team, maintaining payroll records, and providing exceptional customer service to employees regarding their payroll concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, including but not limited to salary discrepancies, deductions, tax withholdings, and benefits within turn around time defined
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Accurate tracking of payroll adjustments, corrections, and special payments and providing data to payroll team to incorporate in payroll
  • Monitor and manage the payroll query system, ensuring all queries are logged, tracked, and resolved within established timelines.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure the company's payroll practices remain compliant.
  • Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives as required.
  • Create Process maps for query handling - Tier 1 / Tier 2/Tier 3 processes
  • Create SOP for query handling process including tool navigations & seasonal activities if any at a country level
  • Create country specific knowledge documentation for compensation & Process documentation for benefit policies
  • Country specific payroll FAQ document basis query trends
  • Maintain Escalation matrix at a country level

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Educational Background:
• 8+ yrs bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is often preferred.

Experience:
• Previous experience in payroll processing, human resources, or accounting is highly desirable.
• Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, SAP,, Workday)
• Customer service experience can be beneficial, as the role involves handling queries and interacting with employees.

Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with payroll software and HR management systems.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations.

Communication Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively addressing employee queries and concerns.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with employees at various levels within the organization.

Analytical Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address payroll discrepancies and issues.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing and reporting.

Organizational Skills:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Knowledge of Regulations:
• Awareness of tax compliance and reporting requirements.

Customer Service Orientation:
• A focus on providing excellent customer service to employees with payroll- related inquiries.
• Patience and empathy to handle sensitive or complex issues.

Confidentiality and Ethics:
• High level of integrity and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of payroll information.
