Product Strategist (Partnerships)

Job Description:

Are you excited about the limitless possibilities of artificial intelligence and machine learning? Do you want to make these possibilities into realities for real people? If so, we have an extraordinary opportunity to join our startup as a product strategist.

Windsurf (formerly Codeium) already gives AI-powered tools to hundreds of thousands of individual developers and development teams at thousands of enterprises, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. With millions of installations of our Plugin, a first of its kind agentic product in Windsurf, and intense traction in the enterprise sector, Windsurf has uniquely already achieved strong product market fit, but has a number of strategic initiatives to take everything to the next level. As a product strategist for our partnerships initiative, you will be responsible for making our partners (VARs, GSIs, OEMs, CSPs, etc) successful in selling, supporting, and expanding our products. This initiative is critical in scaling our enterprise business to match the market demand. You are expected to work collaboratively with high agency and low ego. Your role will materially drive revenue and adoption forwards.

This is a unique opportunity to work at an AI startup with a real product, real users, and real revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally: Work with engineering, marketing, sales, partnerships, finance, legal, support, and more to help advance the strategic initiative. You are expected to have a bias towards getting your hands dirty in any of these pieces to push outcomes forward.

  • Develop programs: Build enablement material, certification programs, events, marketing campaigns, and more to make our partners successful in selling, supporting, and expanding our products.

  • Identify success: Determine the joint incentives and connections at a product level between us and potential partners, suggesting how we could work even more tightly from a technical perspective.

  • Voice of product to partners: Work with our GTM team to educate executives (and others) at our partners on our product and product vision.

Qualifications:

  • Past technical founder of a tech startup, or similar role with high agency, responsibility, and large cross-functional footprint in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Past software development experience (we’re a tool for developers!)

  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills. An executive presence that would resonate internally and externally.

  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence (as opposed to dictate).

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and execute in ambiguity.

  • Past experience working with the channel & partners is a plus

  • Experience in sales, marketing, design, photo/video editing software, content production, etc. are all pluses
