Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for functional testing of our client-side and administrative modules in business systems. This includes participating in requirement analysis, developing test plans, accurately identifying defects, and ensuring that testing progresses smoothly in collaboration with the R&D teams.

To qualify for the Quality Assurance Engineer position, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field along with 3+ years of testing or development experience in internet companies. Familiarity with software engineering principles and experience in automation testing is crucial.

In this role, you should have hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Postman. Proficiency in performance and security testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner will also be beneficial for our Quality Assurance Engineer.

A Quality Assurance Engineer will conduct various types of testing including functional, performance, and security testing. You will be expected to utilize both client-side and server-side testing techniques to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

While not mandatory, prior experience in e-commerce consumer-facing quality assurance is preferred. This background can help you understand the unique challenges and requirements of testing in an e-commerce environment.

I prioritize my testing tasks by evaluating the critical paths of the application and understanding business priorities. I also collaborate closely with product and project managers to align on which features or functionalities require immediate attention.

In my previous roles, I have utilized various automation testing tools, including Selenium for UI tests, Postman for API testing, and JMeter for performance testing. I find that automation significantly improves efficiency and helps in maintaining consistent testing practices.
