How you'll be contributing to Accurx as a Product Engineering Manager...

Engineering Managers at Accurx are technologists who love helping teams solve customer problems. As an Engineering Manager of one of our Product teams, you’ll work closely with your product and design counterparts to lead the team responsible for a specific set of capabilities within the Accurx product.

You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the business, including engineering leadership, security, clinical, and customer support, to build a deep understanding of your users and how your team’s work adds value. Together with your team, you’ll shape a clear vision for your area of the product and influence both the “Why” (our outcomes) and the “What” (our roadmap), ensuring your engineers understand the impact of their work.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll have management responsibility for your team of engineers, helping them perform at their best, supporting their career development, and fostering a high bar for engineering practices.

You’ll spend a lot of your time turning the “What” into reality by focusing on the “Who” and the “How.”

Your day to day tasks, should you choose to accept this mission 🤝...

  • Build a deep understanding of the systems your team owns and how they fit into our wider technical landscape.

  • Shape the team’s vision, goals, and priorities in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders.

  • Set the strategic direction for your team, using both your technical expertise and the team’s knowledge to ensure impactful delivery.

  • Represent the team’s decisions, trade-offs, and priorities to non-technical stakeholders, balancing product delivery with technical health.

  • Identify and address obstacles, ensuring commitments are met while clearly communicating risks and mitigations.

  • Use data to monitor delivery flow and drive continuous improvement.

  • Ensure the team maintains a sustainable and effective approach to system health, monitoring, and alerting.

  • Promote best practices for quality, tech debt management, and roadmap delivery.

  • Support incident management and ensure reliable service operations.
Line manage and support engineers, understanding their strengths, development areas, and aspirations.

  • Provide feedback, growth opportunities, and maintain a high-performance culture.

 What the team say ...

"I really enjoy the collective passion we have within the Engineering Manager community to establish a high performing environment where all our engineers can learn, share and grow together. There is a fantastic mix of day to day responsibilities through to bigger long term projects that we are involved in which allows us to form strong relationships and have impact not just in engineering but across the organisation which I love."

- Jamie, Engineering Manager

We'd really like to hear from you, if ...

  • You have a strong technical background, ideally with experience in C# or Java, or a similar technical role within the software delivery lifecycle.

  • You have experience working in user-centric, multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with product, UX, and commercial functions.

  • You have a strong business mindset and can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • You are delivery-focused, experienced in agile teams, and able to create clear delivery plans that ensure visibility on results, impact, and outcomes.

  • You have an understanding of best practices around monitoring, alerting, and maintaining service health.

  • You can contribute to technical decisions, participate in discussions on system and service design, and help inform architectural choices.

  • You can leverage data to inform decisions about team performance, work priorities, and success metrics.

  • You have strong management experience, overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, conflict resolution, performance management, and promotions.
