Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to join the controllership team.
This will be a hybrid work schedule position including a combination of both remote and in-office, that can be based in, but not limited to: Austin, TX
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing monthly financial statements and reporting packages
- Processing invoices, payments, and monthly journal entries
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling various balance sheet accounts
- Working with internal customers to gather and provide information
- Maintaining accounting controls and company policies
- Prepare departmental reporting/reconciliations as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- BA/BS + 2 years of relevant accounting experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education..
- Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, financial reporting under US GAAP.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with ORACLE a plus.
- Advanced computer skills preferred: to include Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, IF, Macros). Hands-on experience with ORACLE financial reporting system a plus.
- Consistently meets deadlines on a timely basis.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, and effectively communicate findings/results.
- Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
