Medical Licensing and Credentialing - Patient Navigator

We are looking for a Patient Advocate who understands and enjoys managing our provider state licensing and insurance credentialing process. This position will support the administrative tasks associated with credentialing and obtaining state licenses our providers. The Patient Advocate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of provider applications either through initial review or re-application process. This position is specifically responsible for daily workflow throughput and routing of the licensing and credentialing application for processing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely and professional communication with providers, documents interactions and follow ups as required to ensure timely file completion.
  • Ensures monthly maintenance of files to ensure compliance, i.e. licenses, DEA, malpractice
  • Tracks and monitors non-responsive providers.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of provider files.
  • Completes assigned projects within agreed upon timeframes
  • Knowledge and experience with HIPAA Compliance
  • Support Patient Advocacy team with referrals and phone support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and accurately
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Ability to focus for extended periods
  • Detail oriented, good organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of initial credentialing and re-credentialing practices for medical professionals including primary source verification methods, and compliance monitoring
  • Medical administrative office experience - a plus
  • State medical licensing experience strongly preferred

Ideal candidate will be located in Denver, CO metro area with the ability to meet in person, as needed.

Position pays between $25 to $30/hr
