Job Description

Do you want to be part of a fast growing international organization? We are looking for an experienced and independent international trader with a proven track record in the poultry industry. In this role you will be fully responsible for both purchasing and sales, from negotiation to delivery.

This role not only offers excellent opportunities for professional development, but also allows you to work with a state-of-the-art freezer infrastructure that can accommodate over 30,000 pallets. Your day-today activities:

  • Actively purchase and sell poultry in international markets
  • Negotiate contracts, prices and delivery terms
  • Maintain and expand our existing customer and supplier network
  • Monitor market trends and respond to them to gain competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and administration

Qualifications

This is you:

As an International Trader Poultry, you will be responsible for both purchasing and selling poultry products. You will negotiate prices, monitor quality and ensure punctual compliance with all agreements. You play an important role in maintaining existing contacts and establishing new business relationships on both the buying and selling side. In addition, you closely monitor market conditions and trends to ensure that you always stay ahead in a competitive market. You will work internally to ensure correct administrative handling of all transactions and contribute to the company's strategic objectives.

You have:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a trader in the poultry industry
  • Strong commercial insight and proven negotiation skills
  • An existing international network in the industry is a major advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree level of thinking and working
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel internationally

Additional Information

We offer you

  • A good salary in line with your experience, plus a yearly fixed Christmas bonus and a performance dependent bonus
  • Initially, a one-year contract with the prospect of  permanent employment 
  • 25 vacation days, with the possibility to purchase additional days
  • A travel allowance of up to 75 km on single trip travel when working at the office, or an allowance if you’re working remotely (from home)
  • The flexibility to work 1 day a week from home
