Senior UX/UI Designer

Position Purpose:

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will collaborate with other UX/UI designers, product managers, engineers, and key stakeholders to define and create innovative, user-centered products that enhance teacher instruction and enrich student learning. From discovery and ideation to wireframing, prototyping and visual design, you will help create all the required UX deliverables across every stage of product development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UX focused research, architecture, and design of an innovative ed-tech product.
  • Promote a highly collaborative, team focused approach to working with others, problem solving and advancing design through iteration.
  • Present work to product owners, management, key stakeholders, and executives for review and feedback.
  • Maintain and adhere to user interface and visual design best practices.
  • Develop and ensure consistent design identity and common user experience patterns across multiple applications within a single platform.
  • Adhere to user interface and visual design best practices, with regards to accessibility and inclusive design.

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in user experience or other related degree.
  • A minimum of 5-years of experience working in UX/UI design or similar role.
  • Must have an online portfolio featuring projects that present UX/UI design and process.
  • Must be a Figma guru

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing solutions for teachers and students is a strong plus.
  • Strong visual design and layout skills
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with Agile development practices and management tools, such as Jira
  • Passionate follower of technology advancements, trends and techniques.
