Lead Site Supervisor - Midlands

We deliver on-street community charging, working with local councils to support homeowners unable to charge their vehicle at home. We also install future-proof EV charging infrastructure at workplaces, retail destinations, car parks, commercial real estate and for residential developers.

As Lead Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of site supervisors, carrying out audits on how our contractors work and offering advice and guidance to those helping us install the country’s biggest electric vehicle charging network. These audits maintain the health and safety of our installation partners and our user communities, the quality of our installations and reduce the environmental impact of the work we are doing. You will work closely with the delivery and installation teams to identify and mitigate risks and ensure works comply with all relevant regulations and standards. You will report directly to the Director of Programme Delivery and Engineering.  

An office will be available in London for you to work, however you will only be required to spend one day a month working here, with travel paid for by the company. 

  • Line manage a team of site supervisors located across the UK, ensuring the team carries out all performance management, scheduling, career development and training activities. 
  • Ensure that you and all your team has valid credentials required to their job. 
  • Inspect construction works including conducting audits and comparing with project drawings and specifications.  
  • Maintain the independence and integrity of the Site Supervision function in Connected Kerb. 
  • Ensure that construction works adhere to all safety regulations and that all activities prioritise safety.  
  • Advise on technical issues where required.  
  • Liaise with installers and surveyors. 
  • Produce regular reports to update the client and business.  
  • Identify and document any discrepancies between the work and the project specifications and ensure they are rectified.

  • Legal and construction requirements 

Travel: 

This role will include UK travel for 70% of the role, with 30% management and admin work. A company vehicle is provided.  

Qualifications and experience: 

  • NRSWA Street Works Supervisor 
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course: Site Safety Plus 
  • CSCS Card - Supervisor 
  • Line management and team development experience 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
